The 2018-2019 school year!
The 2018-2019 school year was a challenging one for the Aztec Cheerleaders. What was a rocky road finished with 3 1st Places at the Clash of the Canyons JAMZ State Competition in Arizona. Congratulations Cheerleaders on earning those ring!
An amazing 2017-2018 school year for the Aztec Cheerleaders!
On January 20, 2018 Montgomery High School hosted the inaugural San Diego Section Spirit Championship. This was an historic event marking the beginning of cheerleading as a CIF sport. The Montgomery High School cheerleading squad excelled in the Co-ed Division competition and earned the co-championship of this division with Mission Hills High School.
This is not the first event in which the Montgomery High School cheerleading squad has excelled. The program has grown significantly in the past five years and has been tremendously successful and gained recognition both locally and at out-of-state competitions. The Montgomery cheer squad has won back-to-back-to-back JAMZ National Championships which were held in Las Vegas. The cheer squad also won 1st place and received Level Champion recognition at the Palms and Pyramid JAMZ competition in Long Beach this year. They also won 1st place in the Co Ed Partner Stunt Competition and received Level Champion recognition for outscoring all level 3.1 teams.
The Montgomery High School Competition squad is comprised of 3 males and 17 females. These dedicated students practice diligently each day to be the number 1 co-ed cheerleading competition squad.
