Principal’s Message

Dear Montgomery High School Aztec Families,

I hope all of you had a great summer during which time you were able to spend quality time with your family and friends.

It is that time again to welcome you back for another productive and exciting new school year. The first day of school for students will be on Wednesday, July 24th.  The school day starts at 8:30am, however we encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to ensure you are on time, all the time.  Students will be released at 3:35 pm.

On the first day of school, students will receive their class schedules when they report to their first period classes. A list of all students’ first period classes will be available by scanning a QR code posted throughout the campus.  When students arrive at school, they should consult one of these lists to locate their first period classes. Please do not use Jupiter Grades to print locator cards or check classes.

Please take a moment to review our Student Handbook before the first day of school.  The handbook provides essential information including our school calendar, bell schedules and contact information.  We highly encourage parents and guardians to review the handbook with their student.

Below are important reminders as we start the school year:

  • Food/drink deliveries are not allowable on campus at any time.
  • Students will not be released 15 minutes before the end of the school day.
  • If your student is late and walks in with a Starbucks, 7-11 coffee or drink they will be asked to finish it, toss it, or leave it in the main office.  Let’s make sure we are in the classroom on time at 8:30am.
  • If your child has not cleared their immunization records with the school nurse, your child will not be provided a schedule to attend classes (For Newly Enrolled Students)
  • Important reminders and information are always posted on the school website, https://moh.sweetwaterschools.org.
  • The WAAG, our school newsletter, is sent weekly to all parents.  Please review the WAAG each week to stay current on all the activities and events on the Mesa.

We look forward to seeing all of you, and we know that this year our teachers and staff will continue to provide all of our students with a quality education that will prepare them for college and their future careers. We truly believe our students, parents, and community deserve the best in education, and everyone at Montgomery High will do their utmost to accomplish these goals.   We are extremely excited to serve your child this school year!

Please save and remember the following dates:

  • July 24 First Day of School
